Letters of Reference from our Clients (CONTINUED)
When our puppies and dog go to their new homes we always keep in touch to ensure that our dogs and their new families are happy and pleased with their addition. Here are some quotes from recent letters and e-mails we would like to share with you.
Haynes,
I've attached a picture of my son and I showing off "Kopper" (from
Hardy/Amber). He earned his JH title in four straight passes and is only
eleven months old. He is well on his way to senior competition but the spring
HT season has ended here. He works off lead, works doubles and even triples,
and handles real good on blinds. Best of all, he maintains his enthusiasm!
Kopper was retrieving teal at four months, and had a real good general duck season. We didn't even get involved in HT training until February of this year. As you can tell, I can't say enough about this guy. Thanks for all!
Update
9/23/02:
Just a quick note to update yu'all on "Kopper".
He has a new prefix to his name - HR TTF Kupfar Trouver JH. Four straight
passes on his JH, and four straight on the HR. Going for the AKC SH next.

It is the start of the duck season up here in North Dakota.(Sept.25th
2002)"Craighorn Burke" and I want on his first duck hunt at 10
months old

and he did awesome! I shot two triples and the day was over,
he retrieved
them both and with the excellent training from Bobby Stewart he was on it.
Thanks to you both and Bobby I have a true champion on my hands. It is so
much fun! I will keep you posted. Mike Lippert

Thanks for the list of commands for Nettle. I am now getting everyone to
use the same commands. These are the very same commands that I have been
giving my own dogs so it really comes easy for me to teach everyone who
has anything to do with her care exactly what to say and do. The only difference
is I do not use a whistle. But in Nettle's case it is imperative that she
remains whistle trained as it is the only thing that will stop her in the
water. She is working out better than anyone imagined she would. She is
the sweetest lab I have worked with in a long time, and is so focused and
willing to work. She also has learned how "to work the crowd"
on the beach and boardwalk. Everyone is crazy about her and wants to play
fetch and pet her. She sleeps well at night. But as much as she loves her
tennis balls, she was just told once not to chase the balls on the tennis
courts and she just sits and lies down and watches. She is the perfect dog
for the club, and she works so good that we are running out of geese for
her to send flying. If all your britlabs are like Nettle, you are indeed
doing something very right. I have given your name to a friend of mine who
hunts his dogs, and he probably will be contacting you in the future because
he wants a lab. Right now he has a couple of English Cockers from the UK.
I also have a friend who runs the breeding program for theGuiding Eyes for
the Blind. He will be contacting you for information on pedigrees, etc.
Thanks again for sending us such a wonderful dog...the club loves her and
she is thriving on all the atttention.

Here are a couple of polaroid shots of FAWN and her "Live Chukker". The Chukker was still alive after her training session!! Very good breeding program. Has RUBIE popped yet? Getting anxious,

Here is Mississippi Belle with her new family...the girls
are so excited to have her and they were very
surprised...she is beautiful...today she has been very tired and I am sure
that will change...Allie (7) and Annie (4) will be trying to keep up with
her tomorrow...thank you all again we all love her so much! we are going
to call her Missy

Hi Haynes," Sweet Maggie Mae of Rockport " is doing great. She
will sit, stay, come and lay down when told. I have whistle trained her
to sit. She is a very sweet dog and can't thank you enough. Her cough is
gone thanks to antibiotics and presently she weighs 26.5 pounds. If I could
just get her to eat my wifes kitten she would be perfect. Hope your cold
is better .
Thanks again, Russ Feddersen

you might like to see pictures of Velvet in action in November 2001. Matt
has worked really hard with her, and she is turning into a great little
hunting dog. She is a wonderful, loving member of the family as well. Velvet
is a little princess and manages to get treated like one! She and Matt are
off in LA hunting as we speak.

We
have attached a few pictures of Reba so you can see what she looks
like now and get an idea of her accomplishments. As Rick told you she got
her AKC Junior Hunter title in mid-August and in September achieved a Working
Certificate title. This fall was her first season hunting and
she performed like she had been hunting for years!
She is a great worker - marks well, she is really starting
to work nicely with her handling skills and ought to be able to easily get
a Senior Hunter title this summer. Her nose is phenomenal - to the ground
all the time and it works as a bird finding machine. She is great in agility
- as soon as we can overcome her fear of the teeter-totter then we can start
polishing up her performance to show her there as well.

"She (Yeager) is doing excellent in her training and
I anticipate her being an excellent hunting dog"

Hunting Season 2002
Barney turned 1 year old on July 3rd 2000. He is the smartest animal I have ever known. He has learned quickly everything we have taught him. Barney has a wonderful personality. He is kind and gentle, obedient and very loving. We could not have asked for a better working dog or family pet.
You have done an excellent job in your breeding techniques.
We have recommended your kennels to everyone and will continue to do so."

"Bertie, my puppy out of Jess and Solo is doing fine and progressing well even though I do not do near enough work with her. I have been working only once or twice a week but at six months old she is already retrieving well, taking and understanding some hand signals.
The British lab just seems to come here with all the natural
hunting instinct, strong desire and drive that you would want out of a dog.
I would encourage anyone looking for a new puppy or a dog for their family
and/or the hunting fields to take a good look at the British labs"

Hello
Haynes:We couldn't be more happy with the dog we purchased from Double
T Kennels. Major, who was sired by Solo and mothered by Amber, is incredible.
His personality is like no other dog I know; very sweet, obedient, and driven
to hunt. At 8 months old, Major has excellent drive and is so well behaved
my neighbors can't believe it. Also, Major absolutely loves the water. He
is a pure joy to my wife and I. We have recommended Double T to many others
and will continue to do so for whoever is looking for a dog.
Roughshot Renigade Major
Thank you,
Bryan & Jeanette Fuller - Nashville, TN.
Enclosed is a picture of my wife and Major which we took at 7 months of
age.
Zeke is out of Solo and Jess
AT 8 months old he is doing everything that is asked of him. On his first
hunt he picked up all three birds that I knocked down. Two blinds and one
long cripple. I'm really impressed with this fine pup!.

"Outstanding training attitude"
"Tons of loving personality"
"Retrieving birds to hand at 7 weeks old"
"Great desire"
"Great family Pet"
Of the three dogs I have purchased from Double T, I am currently working on finishing the two older dogs that were started so well by your trainer, Bobby Stewart. They are performing excellently and I am very much looking forward to working with my young bitch that Bobby has in training at this time. These dogs are exactly what I look for in a Labrador...calm, attentive, trainable, and very social. They also carry the traditional British Labrador physical traits.
Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Haynes,
We are in love with this dog! He is doing very well with his
retrieving. Swims in the river and the pool (oh dear) and is getting ready
to be put on our Invisible Fence. Don't anticipate any problems with him
"getting it" quickly.
Thanks!

We just returned from visiting Lucky at our trainers. She is doing great. Wes from Good Shepherd K-9 Academy asked me to complement you on your breeding program.
He said Lucky is one of the best dogs he has ever trained. Even though she
is so young she picks up things very quickly and wants to please.
She is already going out in public and behaving appropriately in places
like restaurants.
We will bring her home in a couple of weeks and keep her until she matures,
then she returns for more training for things like turning lights on/off,
getting Jacob's shoes, pencils etc.
LATER...

Here are a few pictures of Jacob and Lucky. She is doing
great and Jacob loves her a lot. She tolerates him climbing
on her and he tolerates her licking his face.
She is very mellow for a puppy and has already learned many
commands in preparation for her formal assistance dog training.
Our trainer, Wes, from Good Sheperd K9 Academy
( http://www.goodshepherdk9.com
) is very impressed with how
quickly she learns and how much she wants to please.
Feel free to use these pictures on your web site if you'd
like.
In the first 2 pictures Jacob is reading a story to Lucky and
showing her the pictures like the teacher does in his kindergarten
class.

I was very pleased with my recent visit to your kennels. Luna, out of Spinder
and Jess, has a truly loving temporary home. Your kennels are first rate,
and the accommodations were outstanding. Luna is doing great. She is growing
well and end up looking like the classic British Lab. She is also progressing
through her training at a outstanding pace. I am looking forward to the
day I pick her up. Thank you again for providing outstanding services at
your kennels.

I have attached 2 photos of "Maddie". She was out of your Solo - Rose breeding back in November 2000. She is the one that had a small white spot on her chest. She still has a couple of white hairs on her chest but has a few more under her belly. We work her about 3 times a week and she seems to have a lot of potential and patience. We'll keep you posted.
